Swim Team Schedule
The 2024 Summer Swim Team season begins on June 17th and ends on August 9th, 2024.
Practice times are Monday-Friday 8am-9am

$300 per person
Team Communication
All registered swim team participants are added to swim team Google Group, through which they will receive periodic communications from the coaching and management staff. Your email address will be added to the Google Group upon registration.
Equipment
Team suits can be purchased at the kick-off meeting in June (date TBA). Goggles, practice suits and other equipment can be purchased at the kick-off meeting. While we encourage team members who wish to compete to have team suits, they are not required. Goggles are required for participation on the team and are always in stock and available for purchase. Current price is $14.
The Groton Country Club Swim Team is open to all children from four to eighteen years of age. We will have several home and away meets as well as a Championship Meet.
Competition
Competition is in the following age groups:
6 & Under
7 - 8 years
9 - 10 years
11 - 12 years
13 - 14 years
15 - 18 years
Age-specific Swimming Events
6 & Under: Swim one length of the pool (25 yards) of freestyle & back-stroke.
7 & 8 years: Swim one length of the pool (25 yards) in freestyle, back-stroke, butterfly, and breaststroke.
9 & 10 years: Swim one length of the pool (25yards) in freestyle, back-stroke breaststroke, butterfly, and the individual medley ( one length of each stroke).
11 - 12 years, 13 - 14 years, 15 - 18 years: Swim two lengths of the pool in all strokes and the individual medley. There are open 100's of all strokes.
Relay events: for boys and girls in 2 divisions: 12 and Under and 13 to 18.
Medley relay: Each swimmer does a different stroke.
Free relay: Everyone does the same stroke.
