SWIM SCHOOL: Learn-To-Swim

Parent & Child: Water Acclimation: (ages 6 months-3 years): 

The perfect way to introduce young children to the water in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. With the comfort and support of a parent or guardian, children build confidence while learning essential water skills through interactive games, songs, and repetition. These classes focus on water comfort, safety awareness, and early swimming fundamentals to create a positive foundation for lifelong water enjoyment. Children build confidence in the water while developing essential skills for future swimming success.

  • Water Babies (Ages 6 Months - 1 Year): A playful introduction to the water, Water Babies encourages infants to explore and enjoy their aquatic surroundings with a trusted adult. This class fosters bonding through sensory water play, floating exercises, and basic safety skills, helping little ones feel comfortable and secure in the water.

  • Super Tots (Ages 1 - 3 Years): Super Tots is designed for active toddlers ready to explore more movement in the water! With the guidance of a parent or guardian, children will develop key swimming skills such as back floating, breath control, kicking, and arm movements. Songs, games, and repetition make learning fun while reinforcing water safety and early independence in the pool.

  • Objective: To help swimmers become comfortable and confident in the water with the support of a parent. 

  • Key Skills: Water comfort and sensory play, assisted front and back floating, learning breath control and how to blow bubbles, submerging underwater comfortably, kicking and reaching arm movements.

  • Class Length: 30 Minutes

  • Focus: Building water confidence through sensory experiences and play. 

Preschool: Beginner: Stroke Fundamentals: (ages 2.5-5 years):

Focus on introducing basic water safety and engaging students with fun activities while teaching swim skills like kicking, bubbles, and floating. Emphasize forward movement, submersion, basic swim skills, water safety, and independence in the water.

  • Objective: Build trust in water and introduce submersion.

  • Key Skills: Emphasize movement, submersion, and basic swim skills with support. Comfort with water on the face, bubble blowing, supported floats, front/back gliding, and basic arm/leg movement.

  • Class Length: 45 Minutes

  • Focus: Water comfort, basic skills

  • This is a non-parent participation class

Level 1:  Beginner: Stroke Introduction (ages 5-14):

For beginners who enjoy water but lack independent swimming skills. Focus on basic swimming skills and water safety. Swim skills such as independent floating, basic stroke introduction, and swim-roll-swim technique. Emphasize independent movement, submersion, basic swim skills, and elementary backstroke and water safety.

  • Key Skills: Bobbing for air exchange, independent floating, basic stroke introduction, and swim-roll-swim technique.

  • Class Length: 45 Minutes

  • Focus: Skill refinement, increased independence

  • Objective: Introduce basic water comfort, safety, and foundational swimming skills.

  • This is a non-parent participation class

Level 2: Novice: Stroke Development (ages 5-14):

For swimmers who can swim 10 yards on front and back without flotation. Focus on independent forward movement on their front and back, proper body position, and flutter kick. Introduction to Freestyle & Backstroke, and Treading. Emphasize deep water safety. 

  • Key Skills: Basic freestyle and backstroke, swim-roll-swim.

  • Class Length: 45 Minutes

  • Focus: Building confidence and basic stroke techniques for freestyle and backstroke.

  • Objective: Develop confidence and basic stroke techniques for freestyle and backstroke, including gliding and coordination.

  • This is a non-parent participation class

Level 3: Intermediate: Stroke Improvement (ages 5-14):

For swimmers who can swim 15 yards on front and back with proper body position and swim in water over their head. Focus on freestyle and backstroke stroke techniques, including rotary breathing in freestyle and straight arm recovery for backstroke. Emphasize correct body positioning and break down stroke mechanics to better understand movements while building endurance, and introduce dolphin kick and frog kick.

  • Key Skills: Freestyle, backstroke, intro to dolphin kick and frog kick.

  • Class Length: 45 Minutes

  • Focus: Enhancing endurance and technique

  • Objective: Build endurance and enhance technique for freestyle and backstroke while introducing breaststroke and butterfly.

  • This is a non-parent participation class

STROKE SCHOOL: Stroke Enhancement 

Level 4: Proficient: Stroke Refinement (ages 5-14):

For swimmers who can swim 25 yards on front and back with proper body position and can swim in water over their head. For swimmers who can swim the length of the pool (25 yards/75 feet) Freestyle and Backstroke. Focus on building endurance for freestyle and backstroke.  Emphasize timing and technique for strokes. Introduction to butterfly, breaststroke, and diving. 

  • Key Skills:  Freestyle and backstroke refinement and intro to butterfly, and breaststroke.

  • Class Length: 45 Minutes

  • Focus: Perfecting technique and introducing competitive elements.

  • Objective: Refine all strokes, develop competitive techniques, and introduce flip turns and starts.

Levels 5-6: Intro to Competitive Swimming: (ages 5-18):

For swimmers that can swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke with proper technique and body position. Focus on helping to bridge the gap between swim lessons and the swim team. For swimmers interested in competitive swimming or those who just want to improve their stroke technique and endurance. Emphasize proper technique and timing for the four Olympic strokes (Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle). introduce racing strategies, including pacing and underwater kicking.

  • Key Skills: Mastery of all four strokes, Individual Medley (IM), competitive pacing, turns, and finishes.

  • Class Length: 1 hour

  • Focus: Introduction to Competitive Swimming

  • Objective: Focus on all four competitive strokes, Individual Medley (IM), and competitive skills such as pacing, turns, and finishes.Perfect techniques, build endurance, and prepare for competitive swimming.

Summer 2025 Pricing:

  • Parent/Child: $75/session

  • Preschool: $115/session

  • Levels 1-4: $115/session

  • Levels 5-6 (Swim Team): $300/session

Drop-In and Swim Program:

Can't commit to a full session of swim lessons or swim team this summer? No problem! Our Drop-In and Swim Program offers a flexible, pay-as-you-go option for busy families. Swimmers can attend lessons or practices as their schedule allows—no long-term commitment is required!

  • Cost: $25 per lesson/practice

  • Ideal For: Families with unpredictable schedules, swimmers looking for extra practice, or those wanting to try out our program before committing to a full session.
